From fireworks to carnival rides, here are three ways to celebrate Independence Day this July 4.

Independence Day 5K Run

The Shadow Creek Ranch Outdoors Group is hosting its 2nd annual Shadow Creek Ranch Fun Run series. The event is free, but only the first 200 people to sign will receive bib numbers. 122nd Annual Fourth of July Celebration

The Friendswood Fourth of July Steering Committee will host its annual Fourth of July celebration, starting with a parade and family activities at Stevenson Park and concluding with a fireworks show in the evening at Centennial Park. Activities throughout the day will include carnival rides, games, food and live music. Celebration of Freedom

Join Pearland Parks and Recreation department in celebrating this Fourth of July. Festivities include an evening salute, the national anthem and a fireworks display. Food and glow toys will be available for purchase. Guests can park at Turner Career and College High School, located at 4719 Bailey Road, and take a shuttle to the event.
