The Pearland City Council will meet Feb. 13 to consider a contract for consulting services that will assist in an audit of the city’s tax calculation process after a county worksheet error brought the city a multimillion-dollar deficit.
According to the upcoming meeting agenda, the potential consultant services contract with Strategic Government Resources would cost around $36,750.
SGR submitted a two-phase proposal that would consist of gathering information through interviews and document reviews and then a presentation of final recommendations to the city. The agenda states the proposal has an estimated project timeline of 24 days.
The meeting can be livestreamed at the city’s official YouTube page.
