Water system flushing in the Silverlake area will begin Nov. 1 as part of an annual unidirectional flush conducted by the city of Pearland and Brazoria County.
The public water system flushing is a coordinated effort with Brazoria County municipal utility districts 2, 3 and 6. According to a press release, the flushing is preventative maintenance for cleaning the water system, and Silverlake residents may experience changes in water pressure and color during the process.
The city of Pearland is responsible for four of the total 17 flushing phases and will work with the Brazoria County MUDs to execute the process. To view a map of all the flushing phase areas, visit the Pearland Water Facebook page at www.facebook.com/pearlandtxwater.
