Friendswood residents to watch for flooding if rainfall increases

The city of Friendswood has sent out a press release stating that there is potential for flooding if the city receives “extreme rainfall totals.”

Various rain gauges in Friendswood have received between 2.5-4.2 inches of rain between Monday evening and Wednesday evening, according to a press release.

All creeks in the city have crested, but remain elevated, according to a press release.

The city asks residents to limit their driving Thursday afternoon and evening, according to a press release.

The Friendswood office of Emergency Management is monitoring the conditions, according to a press release.
