City & county
- The Galveston County Commissioners Court has a regular meeting at 9:30 am Monday at 722 Moody St., Galveston. One action item is to consider an update to the county employee retirement system to allow deferred compensation to roll over into Roth accounts.
- The Friendswood City Council will begin its regular meeting at 5:30 p.m. Monday at city hall, 910 S. Friendswood Drive, Friendswood. The council has a joint public hearing with the Planning & Zoning Commission on the agenda.
- The Brazoria County Commissioners Court meets at 1 p.m. Tuesday at 111 E. Locust St., Angleton, for the first in a series of budget workshops.
Schools
- Pearland ISD will send out report cards for fifth through 12th grade on June 8.
- The Friendswood ISD museum will be open for a class reunion on June 9.
Transportation
