Pearland nonprofits can now apply for up to $6,000 in funding for their cultural arts programs and events.

What you need to know

On Aug. 1, the Pearland Convention and Visitors Bureau announced it would accept applications for grant funding through Sept. 22. The program is funded by the CVB through hotel occupancy taxes.

Since 2013, the Pearland CVB has managed the grant program, which has funded programs that include the Puranava Indian Culture Festival, Pearl Theater productions, Pearland Lunar New Year and Fusion of the Arts.

“The Pearland Cultural Arts grant program provides funding opportunities for unique offerings in Pearland,” said Tracy Rohrbacher, executive director of the Pearland Convention and Visitors Bureau, in a news release. “Many exciting arts-related projects and events funded by the program enhance our work to attract visitors.”
