Pearland Veterans Day Walk 2016
The event honors veterans with a short ceremony, 2.5 mile loop walk and barbecue lunch. Proceeds benefit the William Beaumont Army Medical Center, Pearland VFW Post 7109, Counseling Connections for Change and HIKE for Mental Health. 8-9:15 a.m. (registration), 9:30 a.m.(ceremony), 11 a.m.-3 p.m. (lunch at Central BBQ). Wobbly Before You Gobble

2nd annual Pearland CROP Hunger Walk
The CROP Hunger Walk is a 5K FunRun/Walk benefitting hunger relief efforts locally and worldwide. The event will be held at Laura Ingalls Wilder Elementary School on 2225 Kingsley Drive, Pearland. Twenty-five percent of Pearland CROP Walk proceeds go directly to the Pearland Meals on Wheels program. The remaining funds raised support international farming and sustainability initiatives. Runners and walkers of all ages are invited to participate in this family friendly event which will include games and educational activities for the kids.
