According to the website, Dr. Thorn studied dentistry in Venezuela at the University Rómulo Gallegos in 2002 before moving to the United States to continue her studies.

She earned her Certificate of Postgraduate Study in prosthodontics and her master's degree in prosthodontics with honors from the joint campus of Indiana University-Purdue University of Indianapolis in 2019.
