Manvel city manager and engineer Dan Johnson will receive a 5% performance-based bonus after City Council approved the incentive at its Oct. 20 meeting.

The overview

While the amount of the incentive was not disclosed, Mayor Dan Davis said the incentive roots from the work Johnson has put in for the city of Manvel.

“We appreciate the work that [Johnson] put in,” Davis said at the meeting. “Living out the core values of the city goes a long way, and we’ve all set the bar very high. We can see that the department heads and all of our employees are pursuing perfection, and we know that we’ll never achieve perfection, but in the pursuit of it we can achieve excellence.”
