What are your qualifications for why you'd be a strong candidate in this role?
It’s been an honor serving as county commissioner since 2014. Every year, I’ve voted to reduce the county tax rate. I manage county spending carefully, knowing every dollar belongs to taxpayers. With growth coming, we must get development right the first time and protect current constituents’ quality of life.
If elected, what will be your top priorities?
Year over year constituents have named public safety, infrastructure and drainage as their highest priorities. Because of that, those will be my priorities.
What should the county's budgeting priorities be?
Passing a conservative county budget and tax rate remains priority. We will demand smart development and improved infrastructure. County departments will continue to find efficient ways to serve citizens, while ensuring law enforcement remains funded to keep our communities safe and responsive to growth today and in the future.
How do you plan to help grow economic development in the county?
I will continue to ensure conditions support business and job growth while protecting residents’ quality of life through clear communication, firm expectations with developers, and continued infrastructure investments. We have to run the county like a business and expect to get great return on investment for every tax dollar spent.

How do you plan to help grow economic development in the county?
Economic growth is great for the people of Brazoria County, but it has to be done in a controlled manner. We need to identify the areas that would benefit from proper economic development, as well as identify the areas that would benefit remaining rural and keep it that way.
