Why are you running for office?



I am running to bring a fresh vision to how the county judge and Commissioners Court serve all of Brazoria County—driven by unity, accountability, and a servant-first mindset. From our coastal towns to rural roads and growing cities, no community will be left behind. Together, we can move Brazoria County



What would your top priorities be if elected?



My top priorities are lowering taxes and making sure every tax dollar works for every citizen in our county. We must invest in improving our much-needed infrastructure. Public safety will always be a top priority in my administration, along with strong emergency management—especially given our coastal location and critical plant <br>



What are the biggest challenges facing Brazoria County?



Our biggest challenges are fixing and expanding our infrastructure while protecting quality of life as our communities grow. We need better broadband access, stronger support for small businesses, and more opportunities to attract new industries and good-paying



What is the county’s biggest challenge to public safety and how would you solve it?



I believe the biggest challenge is trust in our public servants, and I will address that by implementing a program similar to one I introduced six years ago—the restorative criminal justice plan that local municipalities accepted—to help bridge the gap in understanding and trust between law enforcement, public servants, and



How can the county continue preparing for incoming development and growth?



I will invest in roads, flood control and broadband. Support small businesses and attract new industries. Break down silos and strengthen cooperation. Make every decision data-driven and inclusive—building a stronger, smarter Brazoria County for everyone.

Why are you running for office?



I am running for county judge because my life’s work has been public service. As an educator, leader, and statewide association president, I’ve spent decades developing leaders, serving communities, and bringing people together to solve problems and improve lives.



What would your top priorities be if elected?



As county judge, I will fight for property tax relief, protect homeowners and seniors, support law enforcement, grow good-paying jobs, improve roads and drainage, and ensure county government is transparent, efficient, and accountable to the people of Brazoria County.

Brazoria County’s greatest challenges include balancing growth with infrastructure, protecting homeowners from rising taxes, ensuring public safety and disaster readiness, attracting quality jobs, and restoring trust through transparent, accountable collaborative leadership.



What is the county's biggest challenge to public safety, and how would you solve it?



Brazoria County’s biggest public safety challenge is keeping pace with growth, severe weather, and misinformation during emergencies. I will fully support first responders, strengthen preparedness, improve coordination and infrastructure, and provide timely, accurate information through trusted sources to protect families before crises occur.



How can the county continue preparing for incoming development and growth?



Brazoria County must prepare for growth with smart planning, responsible budgeting, and coordinated infrastructure investment. By prioritizing roads, drainage, public safety, and emergency preparedness—while working with cities, schools, and industry—we can manage development responsibly and protect the quality of life our communities value.
