“Ten years ago, I opened the doors to my facility with a simple but powerful idea: personal training should feel personal,” he said in an email July 3. “I believed that fitness deserved more than the chaotic energy of big-box gyms. It needed to be private, intentional, and designed with purpose.”
What they offer
The center, which opened July 1, 2015, offers one-on-one personal training, trainer-guided sessions and programs, including total body transformation and custom, according to the business’s website.
Looking back
Maldonado mentioned the business struggled with marketing in its first year, and later encountered a fear of shutting down due to COVID-19 in 2020.
Both struggles were overcome through community, Maldonado said.
“We’ve weathered storms too—most notably the uncertainty of COVID-19 in 2020,” he said. “Like so many small businesses, the possibility of shutting down was very real. But through the support of our community and our ability to adapt quickly, we came out stronger than ever.”
Looking ahead
While nothing is set in stone, Maldonado said “expansion is on the horizon.”
“Whether that’s within Houston or into new cities entirely, the next 10 years are about scaling this vision while staying true to what’s made it successful: a relentless focus on the client and an unwavering belief that fitness should always feel personal,” he said.
