1. FM 1097 widening


The Texas Department of Transportation is expanding FM 1097 between I-45 and Hwy. 75 from two to four lanes. Construction is about 82 percent complete.

2. FM 149 repairs


TxDOT approved a contract with Smith & Company for an FM 149 repair project. The project will repair the base of a segment of roadway between the south Montgomery city limits and Keenan Cut Off Road.

3. FM 149 widening


TxDOT will widen FM 149 in Montgomery by the end of the year. The project will add a center left-turn lane and span from FM 1097 to Hwy. 105.

4. FM 3083 railroad overpass


TxDOT is widening FM 3083 east of Hwy. 75 in Conroe from two to four lanes and building a bridge over the Union Pacific Corp. railroad tracks. The project has reached about 38 percent completion.

5. McCaleb Road expansion


The project will expand McCaleb Road from two to four lanes and include a median from Hwy. 105 to the overpass bridge over the BNSF Railway tracks along FM 2854. County officials are in the process of acquiring right of way for the expansion. There are plans to expand the overpass bridge itself in a future project. The widening is a part of an ongoing effort to expand the thoroughfare between Hwy. 105 and FM 1488.

6. M.P. Clark Road


The city of Conroe is extending M.P. Clark Road, located north of Longmire Road, from League Line Road to FM 830. The city awarded the contract for the project to Triple B Services.
