The festival, which is organized by the Cy-Fair Houston Chamber of Commerce and Food & Vine Time Productions, was originally set for April 23. Heavy rainfall impeded site operations at the event grounds, said Constance McDerby, founder and co-producer of Food & Vine Time. "Out of respect for those who have endured hardships, we hope that by May 21 the community would be ready to enjoy and welcome this annual celebration," she said. "The event is rallying around locals affected by the flood and is developing fundraising elements for The American Red Cross as well as Cy-Hope." The event will still take place at Cypress Village Station, 25222 Hwy. 290, from 5:30-8:30 p.m. It will feature more than 250 wine vendors, 30 food tasting stations, live music and a beer garden with more than 50 craft beers set up by The Backyard Grill. Tickets already purchased can be used for the new date, and full refunds are available if guests notify the chamber before April 30. Ticket refunds can also be donated to the American Red Cross to support local recovery efforts, officials said. Special edition Wine Fair T-shirts are being sold online at www.winecyfair.com and will also be sold on-site during the event at a booth operated by local nonprofit Cy-Hope. T-shirt sales will go to Cy-Hope's The Center for Children and Families and will be used to help raise funds for those who were emotionally and physically affected by the flood. “The health and safety of the people in our community is most important,” chamber President Leslie Martone said. “Our hearts go out to those affected by the storms. Once all damage is restored, we will be dedicated to showcasing and celebrating our local restaurants, businesses, vendors and artisans.” The One Fine Affair event, presented by Mercantil Commercebank, has been rescheduled to Oct. 14 from 7-10 p.m. at Lindsay Lakes, 16536 Mueschke Road, Cypress. The event, which was originally set for April 22, features wine and culinary offerings.
