1. Gosling Road widening segments 2 and 3

The widening of segments 2 and 3 are in the study phase. Segment 2 stretches from Mossy Oaks Drive to West Rayford Road, and Segment 3 runs from West Rayford Road to Creekside Forest Drive. The engineering study will address the alignment and whether the widened roadway should be four or five lanes. Drainage mitigation and environmental issues are also being addressed. The project is funded by the successful November 2015 road bond referendum.

2. Aldine Westfield Road widening

Harris County has awarded the construction contract to Allgood Construction Company for the widening of Aldine Westfield Road from East Louetta to Riley Fuzzel roads. The project will widen Aldine Westfield Road from a two-lane roadway to a four-lane thoroughfare. It has been given a 240-day construction contract. A preconstruction meeting has been held, and construction will begin upon completion of the utility relocation process.

3. Gosling Road Segment 1 widening

Utility relocations are in progress for the widening of Gosling Road from Spring Stuebner to West Mossy Oaks roads. Harris County has awarded the construction contract to Texas Sterling Construction, and the award process has been completed. The expansion will widen Gosling Road from two to four lanes.

4. Hufsmith-Kohrville Road widening Segment 6

The expansion of Hufsmith-Kohrville Road in Tomball from two to four lanes from Willow Creek Estates Lane to FM 2920 is in the design phase. Precinct 4 aims to send the project out for bid in the fourth quarter of 2016.

5. The Grand Parkway segments F-1 and F-2

The Texas Department of Transportation has announced it will open The Grand Parkway segments F-1 and F-2 to the public Feb. 6. As of press time, Feb. 5, segments F-1 and F-2 remained closed.

6. TC Jester Boulevard signal installation

This is a joint signal improvement project between TxDOT and Harris County. Third Coast Services has completed the improvements between FM 1960 and Louetta Road, and the first four traffic signal systems are activated.
