1. I-45 HOV lane extension
The I-45 high-occupancy vehicle lane extension will add one lane in each direction along I-45 from north of FM 1960 to the South Loop 336 in Conroe. Construction began in October 2015. The project will be complete the second quarter of 2016, according to the Texas Department of Transportation.

2. FM 2978 widening
The four-mile widening of FM 2978 includes adding two lanes, one in each direction, from FM 1488 to Conroe-Hufsmith Road. The 2.5 mile project design was completed in March 2015. The bid receive date was slated for December 2015. Construction was supposed to have commenced in the fourth quarter of 2015. Once construction begins, the project will take three years.

3. Lake Woodlands Drive
The northbound and southbound lanes will be widened, and the westbound right turn lane will be extended at Grogan’s Mill Road. A southbound-to-westbound right turn lane will be added as well. The design of the project is at 95 percent.

Woodlands Parkway lane improvements[/caption]4. Woodlands Parkway lane improvements
This project adds eastbound and westbound left turn lanes at Grogan’s Mill Road. It also widens the north- and southbound approaches and widens under the overpass. The project is 30 percent completed.

I-45 single-point urban interchange[/caption]5. I-45 single-point urban interchange
A proposed improvement to help accommodate growth in The Woodlands area involves construction of a single point urban interchange at I-45 northbound and Woodlands Parkway/Robinson Road. The proposed SPUI will extend 700 feet north and south of Woodlands Parkway/Robinson Road. The construction could entail four ramps—two entering and exiting—from the frontage road to the Woodlands Parkway/Robinson Road overpass that would be controlled by a three-phase traffic signal on top of the bridge. The project remains in the early study phase.

6. Lake Woodlands Drive widening
The Lake Woodlands Drive project will widen the roadway from four to six lanes from east of Lake Front Circle to I-45. It will take one year to complete once it begins construction. This project is pending funding from the passage of the November road bond.

Kuykendahl Road[/caption]7. Kuykendahl Road
The WRUD No. 1, Montgomery County and Harris County are working together to complete a widening of four lanes of Kuykendahl Road from Indian Hills Road to Timarron Drive and Kuykendahl Road from Creekside Green Drive to Indian Hills Road. A two-lane bridge next to the existing bridge over Spring Creek will also be added. The WRUD No. 1 is 95 percent finished designing the bridge and 100 percent finished with the design of the road widenings. The bridge will be bid upon completion of project development.

8. Gosling Road bridge
A bridge over Spring Creek, which spans Harris and Montgomery counties, has been designed by the Woodlands Road Utility District. The design and construction is being studied by both counties.

9. The Grand Parkway
The completion of segments F-1, F-2 and G was extended to early 2016 because of weather conditions.
