FM 1488 overpass

A railroad overpass on FM 1488 at the FM 149 intersection is underway, but crews are waiting for additional right of way acquisition. The TxDOT project will make it possible for commuters to cross the railroad tracks without interruption. No timetable for resumption of the project has been set.

I-45 HOV lanes

Road construction crews will begin work on high occupancy vehicle lanes on I-45 from South Loop 336 in Montgomery County to FM 1960 in Harris County in October. The project will install a managed lane in each direction similar to those found on I-10 in Houston. The project is temporarily suspended and is expected to take six months from the start of construction.

FM 3083 railroad overpass

Work on the expansion of FM 3083 continues with construction of a railroad overpass along the roadway. FM 3083 has already been expanded from I-45 to the starting location of the overpass bridge, and the project will continue to widen the road from the start of the bridge to Stewart’s Creek. Once complete, the road will have two lanes on each side and a continuous left-turn lane. Crews are waiting for authorization to begin construction, which will take about two years from the project start date.

FM 1097 widening TxDOT plans to expand FM 1097 from two to four lanes and add a continuous left-turn lane from I-45 to Hwy. 75. The project also includes the installation of sidewalks along the roadway for pedestrians. Construction is expected to take up to two years from the start date.

Crighton Road expansion The city of Conroe has begun work on a Crighton Road expansion project. Once complete, the roadway will include a continuous middle turn lane and wider shoulders.

Longmire Road expansion An expansion of Longmire Road from FM 3083 to League Line Road is in the design stage. The project will widen the road from two to four lanes and includes the addition of designated turn lanes at intersections throughout the roadway.
