1. Texas Parkway widening

The project to widen Texas Parkway in Missouri City from Cartwright Road to the Fort Bend Parkway is about 90 percent complete. However, the project has been delayed further and is at a standstill until AT&T removes its utility lines in the project area so construction crews can complete the project, according to Texas Department of Transportation officials. Pending work still to be completed before all lanes can be opened to traffic includes the construction of two sound walls, final striping of the roadway and test runs of traffic signals. Once construction crews are able to resume, it will take about six to eight weeks to fully complete the project. An estimated completion date will not be available until the utility lines have been removed. The 1.5-mile project will widen the existing two-lane, continuous left-turn roadway to a four-lane divided roadway.
