Market Street in The Woodlands will soon be host to a variety of spring and summer events.
The shopping and entertainment district will feature its annual spring and summer concert series, its annual Spring Fine Arts Show, Fiesta Universal, the 40th annual South Montgomery County 4th of July Parade and more.
Jenny Taylor, assistant property manager of Market Street in The Woodlands, said each year the events become more popular and provide a sense of community for residents of The Woodlands.
The annual Spring Fine Arts Show will kick off the spring events May 2 as amateur and professional artists showcase and sell their artwork. On May 7, Fiesta Universal will take place in The Woodlands for the first time in three years. The event celebrates Hispanic dance, art and music.
Taylor said the spring concert series, which begins April 23, is one of the main attractions for spring events. Market Street's spring concert series continues through June 4. The summer concert series runs from July 16-Aug. 20. The concerts are free and open to the public.
One of the main events for the summer is the 40th annual South Montgomery County 4th of July Parade. Taylor said while the parade has been held in The Woodlands for about 10 years, the event has grown significantly.
