Coffees and pastries soon won't be the only thing on the menu at Cloud Caf when it moves to its new South Mason Road location in early 2015, owner David Aitken said.
The new location will be doors down from the 24-Hour Fitness located at 1550 S. Mason Road, and Aitken said he hopes to target the fitness crowd with new offerings.
"[Some gyms partner with Smoothie King], but this gym doesn't, so we're going to expand our smoothie offerings for the post-workout crowd," he said.
The new smoothie menu will join the cafe's offerings of handcrafted caffeinated and herbal teas, and Italian sodas.
Aitken said the cafe's coffee and espresso-based drinks will also get a facelift before the new location opens, courtesy of the cafe's latte artists who can draw everything from swirls to
pictures of skulls and human hearts into the steamed milk floating on the top of the drinks.
The cafe's new location will be nearly twice as large as its store at 1131 S. Mason Road and include private rooms that can be reserved for meetings, Aitken said.
The coffee shop's current location will remain open until the new location opens its doors, he said.
