The master-planned community of Riverstone added to its array of amenities this summer with the opening of The Club at Riverstone—a 17-acre facility that offers swimming, tennis and other family-friendly activities.

"We wanted to create a facility with country club ambiance, offering residents a multitude of recreational choices in a luxurious setting," said Trey Reichert, vice president and general manager of Riverstone.

The club's fitness center and pool opened to Riverstone residents June 11. The resort-style pool features two water slides and a shallow lagoon for young children. Construction of a full water park, eight tennis courts, a nature-themed playground and a covered pavilion is expected to continue through the summer, Reichert said.

The 8,000-square-foot clubhouse, which houses the Homeowners Association of Riverstone and fitness center, is slated to be open for rentals next year, according to Johnson Development.

The Club at Riverstone is open only to residents and adds to the community's existing amenities—two neighborhood pools, a dog park, fishing ponds, and several local parks and trails.

Riverstone residents are invited to attend a grand opening celebration July 5 that will feature a steel drum band, games and activities, and a "dive-in" movie. For more information, call 281-499-8700 or visit www.riverstone.com.
