More than nine months after Dr. Jamie Marshall opened Quality of Life Chiropractic in Magnolia, the business continues to grow and currently sees 30 to 40 patients daily. Now operating alongside four staff members, Marshall's goal is to educate the community on the overall health benefits of chiropractic care, which heals without medicine or surgery. She said she hopes to bring another doctor to the practice in the next year.

"What I teach is the power of the nervous system," Marshall said. "By working on a patient's nervous system, I get to work on their quality of life, which is how I came up with our name."

A spinal adjustment can cause an array of positive effects, Marshall said, and is one of the many services the clinic offers, including X-rays, physical therapy, weight-loss treatment and custom shoe inserts.

Marshall's dedication to community involvement led her to join the board with the Magnolia Parkway Chamber of Commerce.

"I am excited to be a part of the community and help people in the Tomball and Magnolia area," she said.

Marshall also uses the clinic to reach out to nonprofits in the community. In December 2012, Quality of Life donated more than $2,000 to the Southwest Montgomery Lion's Club, and Marshall plans to fundraise for the Magnolia Education Foundation next.
