Towne Lake-A-Palooza will offer fun for the whole family this Sunday as the master-planned community opens its doors to the public for the first-time event.

With the 300-acre lake at the center of the day's festivities, there will be water ski shows, water exhibitions, paddleboard and kayak lessons, and more.

"We wanted to invite the public to come out and utilize the lake like our residents do," said Lauren Schott, residential marketing coordinator. "Our residents regularly use the lake for boating, skiing, fishing and kayaking, among other things, and we wanted everyone else to experience all the fun that the lake has to offer."

Unique food vendors, a lakeside fishing tournament and various games will entertain as well. There will also be an appearance by the Little Mermaid.

Towne Lake-A-Palooza is free and runs from noon–5 p.m. at the Towne Lake Welcome Center, 18915 San Saba Creek Circle Cypress.

Towne Lake expects most residents to attend the event as well as members of the surrounding community for a total of 500 to 1,000 people, Schott said.

Visitors are welcome to bring lawn chairs and towels. Parking is available at Lone Star College Cy-Fair. For more information, visit www.TowneLakeTexas.com or call 281-256-2772.
