David Mullane and Ricky Warwick were sworn into the council’s Position 2 and Position 4 seats, respectively, following their wins during the Nov. 4 election.
In the race for Position 2, Mullane won with 172 votes, while Linda Stewart and incumbent Chris Ellis took in 163 and 57 votes, respectively. For Position 4, Warwick beat incumbent Greg Partin by a margin of 191 to 161 votes, respectively
Additionally, Mayor Chris Parr was sworn into his position after running unopposed during the election.
As previously reported by Community Impact, Mullane is a 35-year resident of Roman Forest and a retired business owner who previously served on the council for nine years. Warwick is a captain with the Montgomery County Precinct 4 Constable’s Office and previously served on the New Caney ISD board of trustees.

Mullane said he was excited to be returning to the council.
“I would just like to thank [the] citizens of Roman Forest for putting their faith in me again,” Mullane said.
Warwick could not be reached for comment.
Parr thanked both Ellis and Partin for their service to the city after the new council members were sworn in.
“[Chris Ellis], I know you didn’t have a lot of time with us, but I know we've benefitted a lot from your experience in construction and remodeling,” Parr said. “[Greg Partin] exemplifies the word[s] public servant. He sets an example for everyone that comes after him. I’m glad to call him my friend, and I’m very proud to have served on this council with him.”
Some context
The Roman Forest City Council is made up of five council members and a mayor, according to the city’s website. Council members and the mayor serve staggered, two-year terms.
According to the city’s website, prospective City Council members need to have lived in Texas for at least one year and in Roman Forest for at least six months before filing to run. Mayoral candidates are required to have lived in Roman Forest for at least one year prior to filing.
