HCA Healthcare now owns and operates an urgent care clinic—previously called Texas MedClinic—in New Caney, a spokesperson for the company confirmed via email Aug. 25. The company began operating all Texas MedClinic locations statewide as of Aug. 1.

The HCA CareNow urgent care offers services such as:
- X-rays
- Lab testing
- Splinting and stitching
- Immunizations
- Sports physicals
- Minor wound care
- Breath alcohol tests and drug tests
- COVID-19 testing
The location relaunched under the Texas MedClinic brand in June 2025, as previously reported by Community Impact. Prior to that, the clinic was called Urgent Doc.
