Hosted by the East Montgomery County Improvement District and Studio One Three, this fourth annual event will be held May 27 at 6 p.m. at The Atrium Center, located at 21575 Hwy. 59, New Caney.
According to information provided by Hank Vat Jr. of Studio One Three, this year's event will focus on both hurricane preparedness and recovery, with speakers including:
- Matt Gray, Montgomery County Precinct 4 commissioner
- Brian Garcia, Entergy Texas customer service region manager
- Jason Millsaps, Montgomery County Office of Homeland Security & Emergency Management executive director
- Howard Rinewalt, East Montgomery County Fire Department chief
- Carter Johnson, Porter Fire Department chief
- Rowdy Hayden, Montgomery County Precinct 4 constable
What else?
According to information on EMCID's website, attendees will have the chance to win a portable generator. The event will also include door prizes like rechargeable battery-operated fans, coolers, power stations, and battery pack cell phone chargers.
During the 2024 event, Vat Jr. said they were able to give away 100 hurricane preparedness kits and $2,000 in door prizes.
