The East Montgomery County Improvement District convention center has entered the vertical phase of construction. The project will be located in Valley Ranch's Entertainment District and feature a 55,000-square-foot ballroom/exhibit hall, nearly 20,000 square feet of meeting space, and 35,000-40,000 square feet of prefunction and lobby areas with outdoor courtyards.

Italiano’s Restaurant's new estimated opening date in New Caney has been pushed back after the business was previously estimated to open in August. Italiano’s offers dishes such as pizzas, calzones, soups, pastas and seafood.Lumos officials announced the new entertainment center’s grand opening in New Caney is set for Oct. 2. Kroger in New Caney marked the completion of its recent remodel with a celebration Sept. 12. Kroger’s remodel includes new decor and upgrades in the floral, bakery, seafood and produce departments.
