The Alabama-based company was founded in 1917 and is the nation's second largest book retailer with more than 260 stores across 32 states, per the release. The New Caney book store will mark the company's second location across the Greater Houston area.

What they offer
The store will offer a diverse selection of books for all ages including fiction, nonfiction and Bibles, as well as toys, gifts and collectibles, per the release. The venue will also feature designated reading areas, a children's section and host community-focused events and programs.

"Whether you want to study, read, explore or connect with neighbors, this space offers something for everyone. Some context
The new 12,000-square-foot book store will be housed in the former location of Party City, which closed Feb. 28, as previously reported by Community Impact.
