NC Customs Hot Rod Pros and Allen’s Auto Care are now open in Porter after the owner, Holger Butzelar, held grand openings for the businesses in early March. The shops were originally located at 21035 Gene Campbell Road in New Caney.

Allen’s Auto Care—formerly Allen’s Radiator—originally opened in 1936, Butzelar said. NC Customs—formerly New Caney Customs—opened in 2017.

NC Customs’ specialty is classic car repairs, while Allen’s Auto Care focuses on modern car services. The mechanics at both businesses have decades of experience, Butzelar added.

Allen’s Auto Care also offers AC and cooling services on all years and models, according to the business’s website. NC Customs sells parts for “hot rods,” cars and trucks, as previously reported by Community Impact.

Both businesses soft opened in December/January and are now accepting service appointments, Butzelar said.
