Final Gravity Brewpub, a veteran-owned craft brewery, has plans to open in Porter by the end of April, Owner Ted Dougherty said.

The details

According to an East Montgomery County Improvement District Facebook post, the brewpub was founded by U.S. Army veteran and retired police officer Ted Dougherty and his wife Terri Dougherty. The brewpub will offer handcrafted beer and food.

Ted Dougherty said his passion for homebrewing began in 2016 with recipes that reflect quality American beer.

“As a veteran, I know the importance of camaraderie and community," Ted Dougherty said. “Final Gravity Brewpub is more than just great beer, it's about bringing people together, honoring service and celebrating the American spirit."

Final Gravity Brewpub also plans to offer live music, event rentals and a dog-friendly environment.
