Construction is slated to begin this fall on a project to replace the existing center turn lane on FM 1314 with a raised median between Ferne Drive and South Loop 494. According to Emily Black, public information officer for the Texas Department of Transportation, the project went out for bids in early July and construction is expected to begin this fall.
