Harris County Precinct 4 is studying a project to realign Hamblen Road. The project will include a grade-separated crossing over the Union Pacific Corp. railroad. Precinct 4 also plans to include a sidewalk along the south side of Hamblen and along both sides of the railroad crossing to connect to the future Edgewater Park. The study phase is set to wrap up by the second quarter of 2022. Timelines for the remaining project phases will be determined thereafter.
