West Lake Houston Parkway extension in Generation Park aims for early 2020 completion

McCord Development, the company behind the Generation Park development near Beltway 8, broke ground in January on its project to extend West Lake Houston Parkway roughly 2.5 miles through Generation Park from Lockwood Road to North Lake Houston Parkway. The new four-lane road will include a raised median and 8-foot sidewalks to connect the extension to trails across the development. The project is roughly 70% complete.
Timeline: January 2019-first quarter 2020
Cost: $23 million
