Humble ISD to address attendance zones, vacant board position
The Humble ISD board of trustees will unveil an application and process for appointing a candidate for Position 6 at its next meeting July 11. The district is searching for a replacement for former trustee Heath Rushing, who

HISD will also discuss attendance zones for Middle School No. 9, which is located within Atascocita-area subdivision The Groves. The new zones will affect students who are slated to attend Timberwood and Woodcreek middle schools.

Memorial Hermann appoints Stokes as CEO
Less than a month after the sudden departure of Dr. Benjamin K. Chu, Memorial Hermann Health System has announced a new CEO to head its 17 Greater Houston area hospitals, including Memorial Hermann Northeast in Humble.
MHHS announced Wednesday afternoon that Charles “Chuck” Stokes has been appointed to serve as CEO after working within the hospital system for nearly a decade. Stokes previously served as the executive vice president and chief operating officer as well as interim CEO
since late June.
