A new Department of Public Safety driver’s license satellite office opened in New Caney on July 12 inside the East Montgomery County Courthouse Annex located at 21130 Hwy. 59, New Caney.

The new satellite office offers driver's license renewals and replacements and allows individuals to update the following information on their licenses:

• name change;
• physical or mailing address;
• veteran/disabled veteran status;
• organ donor status;
• emergency contact information; and
• applicant contact information.

Officials noted no written or driving exams will be administered at the new location. The driver's license office is open MMonday through Friday from 8 a.m.-noon and from 1-4 p.m., though officials advised calling before visiting as hours and availability are subject to change. 281-446-3391. www.dps.texas.gov/section/driver-license
