Officials noted construction of the new units is scheduled to begin in May and is expected to be completed by October.
The new partnership is coming after the July 2021 completion of Land Tejas’ previous development with Wan Bridge, Clearwater at Balmoral—a 94-unit townhome community located within Balmoral, officials said in a Feb. 14 news release.
According to the news release, the new units will be added within Clearwater at Balmoral and will feature three- and four-bedroom townhomes ranging from 1,400-1,800 square feet. The homes will feature 10-foot ceilings, open floor plans, oversized countertops, and walk-in pantries and closets.
According to Uri Man, executive vice president of Land Tejas, the build-to-rent model allows renters to experience living in the master-planned community before purchasing a home.
“The build-for-rent model, especially for higher-end-luxury products like the Wan Bridge product, is an important asset to master-planned communities because it gives renters the opportunity to experience the community and potentially become homeowners in the future,” Man said in a statement. “Despite recent supply chain issues and labor shortages, Wan Bridge has proven its dedication to delivering a quality product by not only completing all Clearwater at Balmoral units on time but successfully leasing 100%.”
Wan Bridge CEO Ting Qiao touted the new development.
“The build-to-rent model of real estate has found a thriving home in Texas, and we are eager to continue expanding our footprint across the Lone Star State, starting at Balmoral,” Qiao said in a statement. “Land Tejas’ endorsement and trust in our build-to-rent model demonstrates that our product has a place in master-planned communities, so together we can offer residents the best of our company’s signature products.”
