CHI St. Luke's Health will be the first tenant at Vivacity—a 186-acre medical district in New Caney at the intersection of Hwy. 59 and the Grand Parkway. The hospital system is still determining what size and scope of facility it will build in Vivacity, Signorelli Company marketing manager Alyssa McGuire said. The medical district is being developed as part of the master-planned community Valley Ranch by The Woodlands-based real estate business the Signorelli Company.  “Our partners for Vivacity are critical to its success and to start off with CHI St. Luke’s on day 1 speaks volumes for the project concept and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in health care,” Signorelli Company CEO Danny Signorelli said. Vivacity will feature more than 2.5 million square feet of space—including a hospital—and wellness and life science facilities in addition to hospitality and retail options. Signorelli also expects to add trails and a 10-acre park to this portion of the development.  Vivacity will provide care for the residents in east Montgomery County and the Hwy. 59 corridor, who have limited options, McGuire saidIt is anticipated to offer a broad range of specialties, including cardiology, orthopedics and oncology, as well as women’s and children’s specialties, and primary care.  “Vivacity will leverage its connected campus, world-class health partners, academic research and clinical services in collaboration with industry technology partners to promote improved health outcomes in a single, convenient campus,” said Tom Wittenberg, who serves as the executive vice president of Signorelli's medical division. A projected completion date for the medical district has not been released, McGuire said.
