Dr. Femi Folayan, an artist and scientist, said he discovered dentistry was a blend of both of his passions and opened his own dental practice in 2017.

“I didn't always know that I wanted to be a dentist, it was just a random coincidence; I happen to be good with art, and in the sciences also,” Folayan said.

Staying local

Folayan, a Lake Houston-area resident since 2015, said his mission as the owner of a private dental practice is to treat everyone as he would treat his own family.

“Kindness is not just ... [for] at home; kindness is for strangers as well, right?” Folayan said. “Because what you would expect is what you [should] give, and what you give comes back to you.”As a dentist specializing in surgical dentistry, Folayan spent two years working for Jefferson Dental and became the lead provider when the Texas-based dentistry expanded. Soon after, he decided to venture out to open his own practice.

Through his practice, Folayan said he focuses on providing customized care catered to each individual patient rather than treating patients like just another number. In addition to the Lake Houston-area practice, the dentistry expanded to a second location in Conroe in July 2024.

What they offer

Four Lion Dental Boutique is a full-service dentistry that focuses on providing services to adults and children, and specializes in implant dentistry and extractions for adults.

While extractions can take anywhere from 60-90 minutes, Folayan said Four Lion Dental Boutique has recently started doing same-day crown procedures, a surgical procedure that used to take up to seven sessions to complete. With a new software called Fast Mill, the practice is able to take care of crown procedures in roughly two hours.The dentistry also offers services such as veneers, root canals and dentures. For patients with no insurance, Four Lion Dental Boutique offers a care credit card and accepts Preferred Provider Organization insurance.
