HCA Houston Healthcare Kingwood officials gathered June 19 to celebrate the opening of the hospital's new $27 million outpatient surgery department.

The details

According to a June 19 news release from the health care provider, the new department houses four operating rooms and two endoscopy suites. The facility is designed to accommodate a wide variety of surgical procedures that do not require an overnight hospital stay, including:
  • Ear, nose and throat surgery
  • Gastrointestinal procedures
  • General surgery
  • Gynecology surgery
  • Orthopedic surgery
  • Podiatric surgery
  • Urological procedures
