The details
According to a June 19 news release from the health care provider, the new department houses four operating rooms and two endoscopy suites. The facility is designed to accommodate a wide variety of surgical procedures that do not require an overnight hospital stay, including:
- Ear, nose and throat surgery
- Gastrointestinal procedures
- General surgery
- Gynecology surgery
- Orthopedic surgery
- Podiatric surgery
- Urological procedures
Per the release, the department will improve patient outcomes through minimally invasive methods that offer faster recovery times. Additionally, the facility:
- Offers flexible scheduling options and an efficient check-in process
- Is equipped with the latest technology
- Is staffed by a team of highly skilled surgeons, nurses and support staff
