There are several events going on in the Lake Houston area this summer. All events are subject to change, and this list is not comprehensive.
1. Flamenco de Raiz
Ana Maria Barcelo Flamenco is presenting its annual student showcase, with invited artists including Celia Corrales, Jose Manuel Tejeda and Jesus Pacheco.
2. Summer Kickoff in the Forest
Attendees can kick off the summer with an event featuring yard games, cold treats and kids' activities.
3. Kids Day in the Park
Hosted quarterly, this family-friendly event in Downtown Humble brings together outdoor play, hands-on activities and local vendors for a day designed to celebrate families.
4. Music & Motors
The streets of Downtown Humble will be filled with custom builds, classic cars and trucks. The event will also feature live music by Pushwater and local vendors.
5. Hip Hop Bingo Night
The Pearls of Lake Houston Educational & Charitable Foundation is hosting a bingo night benefitting college scholarships for local students.
6. Endless Summer
This Beach Boys tribute band will be performing iconic songs, from “Good Vibrations” to “California Girls.”
7. Movies Under the Moon
Watch a movie on the lawn at Kings Harbor Waterfront Village. Attendees are encouraged to bring blankets and lawn chairs to sit on during the film.
8. TexMex Smoke N Fire BBQ Fest
The community is invited to a festival featuring Texas barbecue, Tex-Mex favorites, live music, vendors and family-friendly activities.
9. Juneteenth Celebration
This fourth annual event celebrates Juneteenth and features live music, entertainment, a variety of food trucks, local vendors, face painting and interactive attractions.
10. Houston Stars & Stripes
Benefitting the PTSD Foundation of America, this race will feature a half-marathon as well as 10K, 5K and Kid's K options.
11. Summer Creek BizCom
Partnership Lake Houston invites business leaders and community members to a meeting in which speakers will address issues and developments specific to their community. Attendees who RSVP receive free lunch and admission.
