Summer Movie Night

The Lone Star College-Kingwood Student Nurse Association is hosting a summer movie night event where attendees can watch “The Parent Trap.” Beverages will be available for purchase.Tina Turner Tribute

Enjoy a music performance from Tina Turner tribute artist Cookie Watkins at the Charles Bender Performing Arts Center. Watkins will sing some of Turner’s most famous songs including “What’s Love Got To Do With It?” and “Higher.” The Humble Museum next door will be serving pre-show cocktails and holding tours before the concert begins. A Taylor Swift tribute singer will be performing her show, “Red,” in honor of the musician’s fourth studio album. After the concert, a live DJ will play music and attendees are encouraged to bring their own food, drinks and lawn chairs.First Responders Appreciation Luncheon

Watch Disney’s “Lilo & Stitch” on the lawn at Kings Harbor Waterfront Village. Attendees are encouraged to bring blankets and lawn chairs to sit on during the film.Humble Bacon Festival

Bacon lovers can celebrate their favorite meat at the Humble Bacon Festival. The event will feature a bacon eating contest, bacon beer, bacon merchandise, a children’s petting zoo and a best bacon dish contest for sweet and savory dishes. Tickets can be purchased here.A New Look at the History of Bordersville

Learn about Bordersville, a historic Black community located just outside of Humble, at this presentation by Robert Meaux, who works for the Humble Museum. Meaux will discuss Bordersville’s origins, obstacles and legacy. This event is part of the Harris County Public Library’s Juneteenth series. The event is recommended for adults.
