With 206 voting centers reporting in Harris County, Charles Cunningham has secured a win over Deanna Robertson in the race for Texas House District 127’s Republican nomination.


Currently, Cunningham is leading Robertson by a margin of 9,206 votes to 2,359, or roughly 79.6% to 20.4%. The winner of the race will go on to represent the Republican party in the November election.

Texas House District 127 has been represented by incumbent Rep. Dan Huberty, R-Houston, since 2011. Huberty announced his retirement in October 2021.

With early voting and absentee ballots in for the March 1 primary election, Charles Cunningham has taken a commanding lead over Deanna Robertson in the race for Texas House District 127’s Republican nomination.

It is unclear if voting results on Harris County's elections website represent all early votes cast. The secretary of state’s office reported Harris County would not be able to count and report all primary election votes by the March 2 deadline due to damage to physical ballot sheets.


Currently, Cunningham is leading Robertson by a margin of 7,236 votes to 1,732, or roughly 81% to 19%. The winner of the race will go on to represent the Republican party in the November election.


Texas House District 127 has been represented by incumbent Rep. Dan Huberty, R-Houston, since 2011. Huberty announced his retirement in October 2021.

Cunningham has previously served on the Humble ISD board of trustees and Humble City Council, while Robertson boasts nearly 17 years of experience working in the medical field.
