Lone Star College-Kingwood will host a grand opening celebration for its new Coyote Care Center on Feb. 5 at 3 p.m.

What they offer

Located in LSC-Kingwood's Student Conference Center, the Coyote Care Center will offer food, clothing, personal care items and technology to ensure students have the tools and support necessary to succeed, said Marcy Young, communications manager for LSC-Kingwood, in a Jan. 29 email.

Additionally, the center will provide counseling services to support students' emotional and mental well-being, as well as offer community resource referrals to connect students with external support.

Quote of note

"The Coyote Care Center will act as a central support hub, providing students with access to a range of essential resources to help meet their academic and personal needs," Young wrote in the email. "The Coyote Care Center aims to create a welcoming environment where students can find the help they need to thrive both in and out of the classroom."
