Humble ISD officials are inviting the community to attend the unveiling of West Lake Middle School’s new obstacle and fitness course.

The details

In a Jan. 8 news release, officials said they will host a dedication ceremony for the new fitness equipment at 4:45 p.m. Feb. 3 at the middle school, which is located at 11810 Madera Run Parkway, Humble.

The new equipment is coming as part of the district's $775 million bond approved by voters in 2022.


Officials said the new obstacle and fitness course will include a variety of workout options, including:
  • A cross-trainer machine with a touchscreen
  • A chest-press machine
  • A leg-press machine
  • A leg-lift and pull-up station
  • A suspension cross-training station
  • A kettlebell cross-training station
  • 24- and 16-inch step platform,

Following the opening, HISD officials said the obstacle and fitness course will be open to the public when school is not in session.
