Humble ISD officials have opened 13 new playgrounds at the district’s elementary schools, with 12 more planned to open by fall 2026.

HISD officials said the playgrounds are coming as part of the district's $775 million bond package approved by voters in 2022. Officials noted the playgrounds are open to the public when school is not in session.
