Humble ISD officials are asking for public feedback on how the district should move forward with its Portrait of a Graduate program.

The overview

Officials said the program, which was created using public feedback during the 2016-17 school year, outlines skills and traits community members want students to develop in the classroom in addition to academics.

According to a April 26 news release, Portrait of a Graduate traits include:
  • Creative innovator
  • Critical thinker
  • Leader and collaborator
  • Communicator
  • Personally responsible
  • Global citizen
HISD officials are asking community members to participate in a short survey to determine whether those traits are still relevant. The survey will also provide respondents with an opportunity to leave a comment on the program, officials said.

What’s next

Those interested in participating must submit their responses by May 12. Officials said the results of the survey will be presented during the board of trustees meeting in July.
