Humble ISD will host a job fair March 18 for applicants seeking auxiliary positions, district officials announced in a March 8 news release.

What you need to know

The district is seeking applicants for positions in special education, the Humble ISD Police Department, child nutrition, transportation and technology. Per the release, the open positions are hourly and require a high school diploma or GED, except for positions with custodial services.

The following are some of the district's available positions with corresponding pay rates:
  • Senior police officer: $63,630-$91,514 annual salary based on experience; Texas Commission on Law Enforcement certification required
  • Police officer: $60,600-$87,167 annual salary based on experience; TCOLE certification required
  • Security officer: $15.02 hourly (minimum)
  • Professional school bus driver (regular): $20 hourly
  • Professional school bus driver (auxiliary): $20.50 hourly
  • Professional school bus driver (special education): $20.75 hourly
  • School bus attendant: $12.50 hourly
  • Food specialist: $12.50 hourly
  • Itinerant child nutrition specialist: $12.50 hourly
  • (Technology) Customer care specialist: $37,759 annually (minimum)
  • Secondary technology aide: $28,059 annually (minimum)
The specifics

The job fair will be held from 1-4 p.m. at Park Lakes Elementary, located at 4400 Wilson Road, Humble. Preregistration for the event is not required, and staff will be on-site to assist with online applications if needed.
