Humble ISD officials are hosting a job fair to hire hourly employees from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. July 6 in the cafeteria at Ross Sterling Middle School, 1131 Wilson Road, Humble.

According to a June 23 news release, the district will be hiring in all departments, including child nutrition, custodial, general maintenance, police and transportation.

Officials noted the child nutrition department will be hiring child nutrition specialists and cafeteria workers; the custodial department will be hiring campus and building custodians; and the transportation department will be hiring bus drivers, bus attendants, bus driver trainees and bus mechanics.

Additionally, officials noted the general maintenance department will be hiring heating, ventilation and air conditioning control technicians; HVAC indoor air quality technicians; HVAC mechanics and preventative maintenance technicians; plumbers; electrical and plumber assistants; general maintenance workers; warehouse drivers; grounds crew members; and athletic crew members.

Meanwhile, the police department is hiring police officers, security officers and dispatchers.


According to the news release, applicants are required to have a high school diploma or GED, with the exception of some child nutrition and custodial positions. Applicants are also recommended to bring a resume. Staff will be on hand to assist with online applications.
