New Caney ISD officials announced Feb. 3 the districtwide cancellation of all extracurricular activities Feb. 3-4 as well as the closure of all campuses Feb. 4 due to inclement weather.
“Due to likely severe weather and hazardous road conditions, New Caney ISD and all district schools will be closed Friday, Feb. 4,” the announcement reads. “Also, all extracurricular activities, athletic events, and practices scheduled for Thursday, Feb. 3, and Friday, Feb. 4, have been postponed.”
Officials noted that any further scheduling changes would be announced on the district’s website and social media feeds. Officials also said the district will utilize its call-out system to inform parents and staff of any necessary scheduling changes.
