New Caney and Humble ISDs’ active coronavirus cases have begun to level out after some sharp rises after the winter holiday as of Jan. 21.

HISD has 439 active cases districtwide, according to the district’s COVID-19 dashboard. Middle and elementary schools saw a drop in cases, while high schools saw a slight rise from 181 to 184.

NCISD has 87 active cases districtwide, a drop from the 93 cases it had Jan. 14. New Caney and Porter high schools continue to have the highest cases per campus, with 18 and 11 active cases, respectively.
